I haven't been on this site for quite some time on a consistent basis...but plan to use it frequently now...retirement, ya know.... I'm planning a cross-country road trip, but have been giving serious thought as to when the timing might be best...if i left this week it would be a northern route...if i wait...it may have to be a southern route. ya know? think this is an important bucket list thing. beginning to wonder how much longer one might be able to do this! ugh. it is really too bad that kids who were born after 9/11/2001 will never know what it is to NOT WORRY about being in some kind of horrible tragedy!! I NEVER knew this kind of fear as a kid. There was the shooting in TX with the kid in the school tower, don't even remember the circumstance, but it was so random and UNUSUAL, no one really gave it too much thought...this is different for some reason...too often, too random, too weird, too often, did i say that? I plan to blog all my way across the country...please no more of this!!

Navy Yard shooting 9/16/2013

oh, my God....I hate when this shit happens, and this time it's 5 blocks away. wtf. there are just WAAAYYY too many assholes out there willing to just blow people away. This is really unreal. I ride past this place on a weekly basis....past this facility....many of these folks are there when i ride by...we wave, say 'hi'....I FUCKING HATE THIS! what is wrong with this world anymore. Guess it's always been 'iffy' but now i'm in the middle of it...I guess. Please pray for the victims and their families...what a fucking tragedy.
